Get FireFox & Subscribe to Atom Feed

Okay, this is to share with you about downloading FireFox (One of the safest and better browsers - much better than Internet Explorer anyway... Click here to find more information & persuasion about switching over!). And to show you how simple it is to subscribe to the Atom Feed for this website using FireFox (compared to downloading a Feed Aggregator software).
Get Firefox!
{if this is too technical for you, then juz continue using the traditional or "old-school" method of bookmarking this website & returning to the site every 3-5 days to check for updates.}

After you've installed FireFox... Return to this blog-site...
to "subscribe to this website"...
  1. left-click the orange icon at the bottom right corner of the site...
  2. a small text bubble will appear, asking you to subscribe to the site.
  3. left-click on the text, and immediately a "live bookmark" (recognized by the same orange icon) can be added to your "Bookmarks".
  4. Select what name you to identify this bookmark. Choose where you want to save the bookmark. Then click "OK".
  5. And you are subscribed!!
When there are updates to the site, the live (dynamic) bookmark will automatically be updated & you can go directly to the latest post... it'z much more convenient & efficient compared to re-visiting the site every few days...

Hope this information helps... for more information on the technical terms etc, pls search the internet for more detailed explanations & how-tos.

Amelia Tan

Juz a brief intro of who's in the committee & me praying at the beginning of the meeting. Thx again to Jonathan Teo (& Kamun) for helping to tape this down.

click here to watch video (7.7MB, .mpeg file).

Message from the Chair #3

the latest podcast or Chair-cast, depends on how you wanna call it.
Listen Here... (5.8MB, itz 6+min long, .mp3 format - dunno how long it will take to download)

i talk briefly about how the first camp committee meeting went. And i play a really cool song by this Indie Christian Band called "Three Cord Wonder". The title of the song is "Can I Sit By You". check their music out here.

lyrics of the song:

"Can I Sit By You" Lyrics
"Can I Sit By You"
Copyright 2005 three cHord wonder (ASCAP)

Verse

I feel like a life-raft tossing in the sea
looking for some answers and hoping I agree,
Maybe You could tell me what’s gonna happen soon,
but even if You’re silent I will follow You

Chorus

Can I sit by You, I don’t care what we do,
I just want to hold Your Hand, I only want to be with You,
Can I sit by You, I’m so in awe of You,
please may I kiss Your Hand, I only want to be with You.

Verse

I feel like a victim of a life where all went wrong,
I’m still trying to catch my breath again and find where I belong.
I feel tired and neglected, a broken jar of clay,
and though it feels like You’re ignoring me, I am gonna stay.

Verse

I feel like You’ve taken almost everything I love
and cast it in a lake of fire burning it all up.
The pain I’m feeling right now is overwhelming me
and though the world tells me to curse You, I still believe.

New Layout Soon

hmm... i was surfing some sites some time back... One website mentioned that the success of blogs & their ability to exist "long-term" is indicated by the ability to develop or use a Theme that is somewhat unique to the site.
In light of this, i am going to change the layout of this site sometime soon... i'm exploring different themes from this website: alexking.org- WordPress Theme Browser. I will download a theme from there and update the blog-site shortly... as soon as i figure out how to do it :P
Therefore, for all you people out there who really love (and will miss) this current "pink/purple" theme... i suggest you "Print Screen" asap, or create your own blog with this theme from Blogger.com....
with love,
Amelia Tan :)

Message from the Chair #2

MI... Mission Impossible.

Message from the Chair #2

Show Notes:
*sound effects*
Can you'all recognize the tune?
Another "Message from the Chair". by Amelia Tan - your Camp Chairman.

i dunno what you'd think if you got the chance to chair a camp. But i felt that itz kinda like a Mission Impossible. And really without God being part of this camp preparation, it really is an Impossible Mission.

(John 15:5)
Indeed, apart from Him, we can do nothing.
apart from God being in charge of this entire camp, this entire effort would be an impossible mission; it would amount to nothing.

And so i want to ask that you join me & my camp committee as we pray and commit this entire camp and the entire preparation to God:
  • to make sure that we will bear much fruit
  • to make sure that we will constantly abide in Him
  • to make sure that our work does not end up in vain or amounting to nothing.

so that i may finish my race with joy,
and the ministry which i received from the Lord Jesus Christ,
to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
