back to skool?!
yo everyone!
it is my hope and desire that you, having received much from God through the camp... would remember the promises you've made with God... decisions during altar call... prayers prayed.... resolutions established......
That you would recall all those moments, and carry it into the new year together with you. Carry that atmosphere of anointing and the light of Christ... into your schools... onto your campuses with you as you return to school on Tuesday (3 Jan)...
for me, as the outgoing
(antonym of incoming) camp chairman... it is my heartfelt desire that after this YPM CAMP 2005: ReZolution....
there would be 2 changes among our young people.... in these 2 areas....
- Worship!
one of the key things at the camp (that amazed me as well).... was the way you'all worshipped God during all the services - i was so moved hearing you'all sing (while watching footage to edit the video); shed a few tears remembering, and while that anointing/presence overflowed off the computer screen... The Camp Speaker, Chye Aik, also mentioned that your praise and worship got richer with each service....
Young people, please... please bring that anointed worship back from Sentosa with you - into Church of Singapore (Marine Parade)... there's nothing special about being in Scripture Union Campsite, or in Sentosa... It's the same God you're worshipping - He's never changed, His love for you is still as real as it was on 14-17 dec 2005 and 2000 years ago while Jesus went to Calvary... He's always given you His very best - especially in His gift of Christ to purchase your salvation & freedom.
Shouldn't we always offer Him our very best - especially in our praise and worship of our great God? Allow that richness that we had in our worship while we were in Sentosa to enter into our worship of God throughout this year, in our church @ Marine Parade....
- Prayer/Evangelism!
on the last day of the camp, Chye Aik asked us to make flags representing our schools (or wherever we are)... He challenged and commissioned us: that we would make full use of this unique opportunity - the once in a lifetime opportunity to share with our friends and classmates in school (or fellow sufferrees: NS-men)...
Young people, please don't misunderstand me - i'm not talking about shouting "repent!" into the microphone during assembly... but i pray, that you would start living out a victorious christian life in your schools (or army)... that you would be a shining light for Jesus as you enter your schools this week... that you would earnestly pray for the salvation of your friends and classmates (yes, even the ones who always bully and insult you, all the time in class - coz Jesus died on the cross for them too!)... and then, when God gives you the divine appointment, when you do have a clear opportunity to speak and share about how God has worked in your life - only then, do you speak and share with courage and boldness about what God has done for you... okay?
it is my desire that there may truly be a God - initiated (and God-sustained) change in the landscape of our young peoples' ministry...
God knows, we need it - To Be More Like Jesus.
